Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Modeling Simulation & Analysis to develop high-fidelity simulations for missile design and performance assessment. This onsite role in Tucson, AZ requires strong C/C++ programming and simulation experience, with eligibility to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

Join a multidisciplinary team, guide junior engineers, and contribute to program-level plans across GNC, signal processing, and hardware/software integration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant prior experience.
• Experience with object-oriented, C, or C++ software programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for evaluation of data sets.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analysis of physical systems.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government issued Security Clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain special program access after start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions, and conduct trade studies of system and subsystem performance.
• Work in a team environment, provide guidance to other team members.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulation activities per program schedule.
• Develop approaches and solutions across projects from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and interact with government counterparts as an authority on simulation products
