Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field setting in Wichita, KS.

You will diagnose complex systems and document work via TRAIT app, acting as a trusted lead on jobsites. The role requires 3+ years in related field, ASE certifications preferred, and a valid DOT card or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in related field or 5 years with alternative qualifications.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Own hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• OEM training and certifications preferred.
• Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment screening and DOT physical; DOT card acceptable if valid.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and related systems on light–heavy-duty trucks.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Document findings, parts used, and RO data using TRAIT app on company iOS device.
• Interact with clients to assess needs and provide status updates; coordinate with management for approvals and parts.
