Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician in Overland Park, KS. The role focuses on performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and advanced repairs, and diagnostics in a mobile/field setting.

You will work with a company-issued service truck, handle parts inventory, upload RO details via TRAIT, and ensure all safety and DOT regulations are followed. A strong background in heavy-duty diesel systems is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 3+ years in related field or 5 years alternative experience.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply hand tools and be able to obtain DOT medical card.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations experience and pre-employment screening.
• ASE certifications preferred or to be obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, transmission, and other truck systems.
• Road test vehicles and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO in TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety checks and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT policies.
