Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Sr. Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs on a mobile/field basis. You will diagnose complex issues, triage repairs, and serve as a lead on jobsites for customers and junior technicians.

The role requires substantial hands-on experience with diesel systems, electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, and tool usage. DOT compliance and safety are essential, with a strong emphasis on independent daily scheduling.

Qualifications

• Requires HS Diploma/GED with 3–7 years' related experience or higher education with related work experience.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated pre-employment and DOT physical requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Conduct safety checks, pre/post-trip inspections and document findings on RO in TRAIT app.
