Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will handle electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic diagnostics, and act as on-site lead on jobsites.

The role requires independent scheduling, strong diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety and DOT regulations. A valid DOT card and ASE or equivalent certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• ASE T2 certification or equivalent diesel certification is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related field experience (equipment maintenance).
• Experience with refrigerated equipment is a plus.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and driveline systems.
• Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and testers to identify faults and perform repairs.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck, reconcile parts usage.
• Document work performed and parts used on RO via TRAIT app.
• Communicate findings and estimates with customers and management.
