Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States seeks a Lead Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will work independently on-site, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with managers to optimize performance.

The role emphasizes strong client communication and adherence to safety standards, including OSHA/DOT regulations. A high school diploma or equivalent plus ASE certifications is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with extensive related experience.
• ASE certifications within 18 months preferred.
• Experience in DOT-related inspections and heavy-duty diagnostics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Lead on job sites and mentor other technicians in best practices.
