Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology required.
• Knowledge of LIS and regulatory guidelines essential.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates work flow of phlebotomists in Specimen Processing area.
• Serves as Charge Medical Technologist in absence of supervisor or Lead MT.
• Ensures accurate transport of lab supplies, equipment and specimens.
• Follows regulatory guidelines for handling/processing specimens.
• Maintains patient identification accuracy and labeling.
• Communicates effectively with NMHS staff, patients and families.
