Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, a regional healthcare provider in Mississippi, seeks a Medical Technologist Lead to support supervision, scheduling, quality control, and workflow in the pathology lab. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field is required.
• ASCP certification is required or preferred.
• Driver license valid in state is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work flow of phlebotomists in Specimen Processing.
• Serve as Charge Medical Technologist in absence of supervisor.
• Ensure accurate transportation of lab supplies, equipment and specimens.
• Follow laws and regulations in processing and transportation of laboratory specimens.
• Assist with training of students and new employees.
• Maintain documentation of instrument maintenance and quality control.
