Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services seeks a Medical Technologist Lead to assist the supervisor with scheduling, quality control, maintenance programs and workflow organization. This role also ensures the accurate and efficient transport of lab supplies and specimens, while complying with all laws and regulations.

The Lead MT coordinates phlebotomist workflow, acts as Charge MT in supervisor's absence, and upholds CAP/CLSI standards within the pathology lab team.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a lab team and phlebotomists in Specimen Processing.
• Maintain quality control and regulatory compliance across processes.
• Participate in continuing education and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow of phlebotomists in Specimen Processing.
• Serve as Charge Medical Technologist (MT) in absence of supervisor or Lead MT.
• Ensure safe and accurate transportation of lab supplies and specimens.
• Adhere to CAP/CLSI standards and all applicable laws/regulations.
