Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Medical Technologist Lead to coordinate and oversee quality laboratory operations within a designated section. The role ensures testing accuracy, QC compliance, and training, serving as a technical resource for regulatory adherence while performing tests as needed.

The incumbent will supervise daily lab activities, manage workflow, oversee proficiency testing, and maintain LIS/EMR systems, contributing to accreditation readiness and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MT/MLS preferred.
• 3–5 years in clinical lab settings for MT Lead role.
• Experience in leadership, training, or quality management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee moderate/high-complexity testing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise daily lab operations including workflow, inventory, and staffing.
• Monitor QC/PT and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Conduct staff competency assessments and provide training.
• Maintain equipment per manufacturer guidelines and escalate issues.
• Ensure safety policies, PPE usage, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate instrument issues and regulatory updates to leadership.
• Support accreditation activities and documentation for inspections.
