Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead (Microbiology) to coordinate and oversee microbiology laboratory operations. You will ensure testing accuracy, quality control, regulatory compliance, and staff competency while performing lab testing as needed.

The role requires leadership experience, proficiency with LIS/EMR, and strong knowledge of CLIA/CAP standards. On-site daytime shift, with full benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related clinical laboratory science.
• 2-4 years in a clinical laboratory as a MT/Medical Technologist.
• 0-2 years leadership, training, or quality management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs, verifies, and reports moderate and high-complexity tests per CLIA, CAP, and other standards.
• Oversees daily lab operations: workflow, inventory, staffing coordination.
• Monitors QC, resolves discrepancies, ensures proficiency testing within timelines.
• Conducts competency assessments and provides staff training and mentorship.
• Maintains equipment per manufacturer guidelines and escalates issues to leadership.
• Ensures safety compliance and proper PPE use.
