Job summary
CHS Career Site is seeking a Medical Technologist Lead in Hematology to coordinate and oversee quality laboratory operations within a designated section. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- 2-4 years as Medical Technologist in a clinical lab.
- 0-2 years leadership, training, or quality management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform/moderate and high-complexity tests per CLIA/CAP regs.
- Oversee daily lab operations including workflow and staffing.
- Monitor QC and proficiency testing timelines.
- Conduct staff competency assessments and training.
- Maintain equipment per manufacturer guidelines and coordinate with leadership.
- Ensure safety and PPE compliance and infection control.
- Communicate instrument issues and regulatory updates to leadership.
- Support accreditation readiness and LIS updates.
- Assist with phlebotomy as needed.
