Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services, Inc. invites applications for a Medical Technologist Lead in our Pathology Department in Pontotoc, MS. The role supports scheduling, quality control, and workflow organization in the laboratory.

You will supervise phlebotomists, serve as Charge MT in absence of supervisor, ensure proper transport of specimens, and maintain compliance with applicable laws, CAP and CLSI standards. Bachelor’s degree and ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Strong supervisory and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CAP/ CLSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates workflow of staff in Specimen Processing area and leads as Charge MT when needed.
• Ensures accurate transportation of lab supplies, equipment and specimens, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains compliance with policy for patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Participates in continuing education and performance improvement initiatives.
