UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced laboratory leader to coordinate work in a medical laboratory section. The role involves interviewing candidates, scheduling staff, and reviewing performance for continuous quality improvement.

You will provide guidance to technologists, interpret complex test results, and maintain accurate records. A bachelor’s degree in a lab science and leadership experience are required, ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Five years of related experience with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Interviews prospective candidates for positions in the laboratory and makes recommendations to Manager.
• Schedules employees for various lab benches and shifts; ensures quality and takes corrective action as necessary.
• Provides guidance to Medical Technologist I’s and Technicians in interpretation of test results.
• Maintains accurate records of tests performed and ensures compliance with laboratory quality control.
