Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical engineering activities through the project lifecycle. You will liaise with engineering, manufacturing, construction, vendors, consultants, and clients locally in Austin, TX to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include leading design deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required; ability to obtain licensure in additional jurisdictions.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanical engineering/project management experience.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, ventilation and related building systems.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design project from pre-design to commissioning.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and building systems integration.
• Interface with architects, structural, electrical teams and vendors.
• Review drawings, submittals and design calculations for compliance.
