Job summary

The Mechanical Project Manager role at Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is based in Austin, TX. You will oversee mechanical engineering activities across the project lifecycle and liaise with engineering, manufacturing, construction, vendors, consultants, and clients.

You will manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables for modular building projects, lead design reviews, ensure code compliance, and mentor cross-functional teams on HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum 6 years of mechanical engineering or project management experience.
• Experience coordinating HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, and related building systems.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical engineering projects from pre-design through fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Lead planning and execution of mechanical design deliverables for modular building projects.
• Coordinate design efforts with architectural, structural, electrical, manufacturing and construction teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, equipment schedules, submittals and fabrication documents.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
