Job summary

Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager in Austin, TX to oversee mechanical engineering activities across the project lifecycle. You will coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, construction, vendors, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of modular building projects.

Responsibilities include leading design reviews, managing HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems, and maintaining schedules, budgets, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required, ability to licens in additional jurisdictions.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering or project management.
• Experience coordinating HVAC, plumbing, ventilation and related building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical engineering projects from design through fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical design deliverables for modular projects.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, hydronic and related systems across teams.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Review plans, submittals, and shop drawings; ensure code compliance.
• Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to stakeholders.
