Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer in Texas to lead a design team and deliver complex mechanical and piping deliverables. The role requires extensive experience in mechanical and piping drafting, with on-site leadership and the ability to guide less experienced drafters.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and SPED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, preferred.
• SPED (Society of Piping Engineers and Designers) Certification preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant industrial mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers and provide technical direction.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting personnel.
• Coordinate work with other staff and discipline lead.
• Produce installation specifications with engineering review.
• Mentor subordinates and plan staff development.
• Review calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes.
