Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a senior Lead Designer to supervise a team of designers and provide technical direction for mechanical and piping deliverables. You will ensure delivery on time, within budget, and meets quality standards, serving as a technical specialist for complex projects.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in mechanical/piping drafting, an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and SPED certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• This position requires 20+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Associate degree is required; SPED certification is preferred.
• Ability to lead a small team to deliver on commitments.
• Experience with project controls for cost, schedule and quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of designers and provide technical direction.
• Deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with discipline leads.
• Prepare installation specifications and P&ID drawings for review.
• Assist during startup on site and perform design reviews.
