Job summary

Gradiant is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our USA Operations team and drive mechanical engineering for water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager, interface with Gradiant Global Engineering Center in India, and lead design reviews with clients.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in mechanical engineering, with water/wastewater experience preferred and familiarity with API/ASME/AWS/NACE/AWWA codes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a lead engineer role.
• Water/wastewater treatment experience preferred.
• Familiar with API, ASME, AWS, NACE and AWWA codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering execution for water and wastewater projects in the USA.
• Review drawings and interface with multiple disciplines and clients.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Construction Manager and vendors.
• Ensure design adherence to schedule, budget and codes.
• Prepare and review process designs, P&IDs, equipment lists and datasheets.
• Support FAT activities and liaise with project stakeholders.
• Travel as required for project needs and international collaboration.
