Gradiant is seeking an Assistant Manager - Technical Projects to lead design and engineering for water treatment plants, coordinating across global teams. The role focuses on delivering projects from proposals to commissioning, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years in water/process industries, strong CAD/3D skills, and proven leadership. Travel up to 10% is expected; Boston-based position offers collaboration with international stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• 5–8 years in water or process industry.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
• Familiar with API, ASME, AWS, NACE and AWWA codes.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design water and wastewater projects globally.
• Serve as Project Engineering Manager under Head of Engineering.
• Mentor engineering staff and share knowledge.
• Ensure on-schedule, within-budget execution.
• Develop procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Conduct value engineering, feasibility studies, and tech selection.
• Prepare/supervise P&IDs and detailed/basic engineering.
• Review equipment and material specs for compliance.
• Coordinate with PMs, QA/QC, fabricators, and construction.
• Oversee drawings and liaison with clients on technical aspects.
• Support commissioning and manage warranty claims.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
