Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design teams for power generation facilities, including gas, solar, hydro, hydrogen, and energy storage projects. You will guide design through procurement and construction, adapting plans to budget and client needs.

You will mentor engineers, perform QA/QC and manage budget/schedule impacts while building client relationships and pursuing new opportunities in a dynamic global practice.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program, or related degree with FE exam.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
• 7 years mechanical engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred; PE strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through completion for project needs and requirements.
• Review supplier quotes, prepare technical bid summaries, and write purchase recommendations.
• Develop and review design documents, calculations, PFDs, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and 3D routing.
