Job summary

CESO is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to perform a wide range of technical assignments for projects of varying size. The role includes mentoring staff, leading programs from concept to completion, and coordinating with architects, contractors, engineers, and manufacturers to define scope and feasibility.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited school with 10+ years of experience, and is proficient in

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical/Architectural Eng degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Master’s degree can substitute up to 1 year of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence is required.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, AEC industry codes and standards.
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering standards and tools.
• Proficiency with daily timesheet data entry and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior staff and engineers across teams.
• Lead projects from concept through completion.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and vendors to define scope.
• Perform calculations and design building systems; ensure documentation quality.
• Oversee the quality review process and check drawings for accuracy.
• Attend meetings with owners/clients/architects and visit sites as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of engineering standards and codes through training.
• Apply local, state, and federal regulations to project designs.
• Engage in client and industry events to build relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
