Job summary

CESO is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to mentor junior staff, lead projects from concept to completion, and coordinate with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturers. Candidates bring PE licensure, ABET‑accredited engineering degrees, and 10+ years of experience in mechanical or architectural systems.

Hybrid work options are available; strong knowledge of AEC codes, design software, and project management is required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s degree can substitute up to 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior staff; provide technical oversight on design deliverables.
• Lead projects from concept through completion.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and suppliers.
• Perform calculations and guide design documents within schedule and budget.
• Oversee quality reviews and ensure accuracy of drawings and documents.
• Attend meetings and observe sites to verify conditions and progress.
• Maintain knowledge of design standards and industry codes through training and self-study.
• Apply regulations and adapt standards into project designs.
• Engage in client and industry events to build relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
