Job summary

CESO, Inc. is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer in Ohio to drive design across commercial, retail, and multi-family projects. The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and delivering on-time, on-budget designs that adhere to industry standards.

You will guide engineers, coordinate with architects and contractors, perform critical calculations, and ensure document quality. A PE license and ABET degree plus 10+ years of experience are required; hybrid work and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and 10+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree can substitute up to 1 year of work experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, AEC industry codes and standards.
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering standards and tools.
• Proficiency with daily timesheet data entry and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior staff and engineers across teams, providing technical oversight.
• Lead projects from concept through completion.
• Coordinate design requirements with architects, contractors, and engineers to define scope.
• Perform calculations and guide design documents ensuring quality meets scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee the quality review process and ensure accuracy and neatness of drawings.
• Attend meetings with clients/owners and observe site conditions.
• Stay current with engineering codes and standards through training.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations in project design.
• Engage in client and industry events to foster relationships.
• Supervise junior engineers and support their growth.
