Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead cradle‑to‑grave design for diverse shore facilities, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, energy systems and industrial processes.

You will drive multi‑disciplinary projects, supervise internal teams and external A/E firms, and draft SOWs while performing QA reviews and serving as the COR. A SECRET clearance is required or attainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer is highly desirable.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead in‑house mechanical design cradle‑to‑grave for facilities (HVAC, plumbing, energy systems).
• Direct multi‑disciplinary projects and oversee A/E firms.
• Draft SOW, perform QA reviews, and act as COR.
• Provide construction‑phase support with submittals and RFIs.
• Lead design charrettes to define project requirements.
• Apply codes to ensure safe and efficient designs.
