Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is looking for experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our team and deliver critical infrastructure for the Navy and related Commands. You will lead cradle‑to‑grave mechanical design for diverse shore facilities, coordinating with internal teams and external A/E firms to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient systems.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance, with 4–10 years of design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
• 4–10 years mechanical engineering design experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead in‑house mechanical design (cradle‑to‑grave) for shore facilities (HVAC, plumbing, energy systems).
• Direct multi‑disciplinary projects and oversee internal/external teams.
• Draft SOWs, QA reviews on A/E submittals, and act as COR.
• Provide construction‑phase support: review submittals, RFIs, site visits.
• Lead design charrettes to define requirements and create conceptual designs.
