Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific in Hawaii seeks experienced Mechanical Engineers to deliver independent, timely, and professional mechanical design for Navy and Marine Corps facilities. You will lead cradle-to-grave design, oversee multi-disciplinary teams, draft SOWs, and provide construction-phase support across MILCON projects.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in Engineering, can obtain a SECRET clearance, and are U.S. citizens 18+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen aged 18+ at time of hire.
• Males registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Background check and fingerprinting required for federal employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house mechanical design (cradle-to-grave) for diverse shore facilities (HVAC, plumbing, energy systems).
• Direct and oversee multi-disciplinary projects with internal teams and external A/E firms.
• Draft SOWs, perform QA on A/E submittals, and act as COR.
• Provide construction-phase support by reviewing submittals, resolving RFIs, and site visits.
• Lead design charrettes to define project requirements and develop conceptual designs for large facilities.
• Apply industry standards and building codes to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient mechanical designs.
