Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking experienced, journey‑level Mechanical Engineers to join our team and contribute to MILCON and facility modernization for the Navy and Marine Corps. You will lead cradle‑to‑grave HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems design for diverse shore facilities.

You will oversee multi‑disciplinary projects, manage internal design teams and external A/E firms, draft SOWs, review submittals, and ensure compliance with industry standards and building codes. This role requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with 4–10 years of mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance.
• Male applicants must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Background check and fingerprinting required for federal employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead in‑house mechanical design cradle‑to‑grave for shore facilities (HVAC, plumbing, energy systems).
• Direct and oversee multi‑disciplinary projects, coordinating internal teams and external A/E firms.
• Draft Statements of Work (SOW), QA reviews of A/E submittals, and act as COR.
• Provide construction‑phase support: review submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct site visits.
