Job summary

Collins Aerospace, in Wilson, NC, is seeking an onsite assembler/General Manufacturing Technician for a 2nd shift. You will set up, assemble, and load parts, using hand and machine tools with basic troubleshooting.

Read procedures, ensure quality, identify defects, and meet customer deadlines while upholding safety standards. Responsibilities include rotating through stations, adhering to EH&S requirements, and participating in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Career Readiness Certification (CRC) strongly preferred.
• Interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble parts, and load parts as directed.
• Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools with basic troubleshooting.
• Read and follow procedures, routing and work instructions.
• Maintain quality product standards with no defects.
• Identify part defects and escalate as needed.
• Work to meet customer deadlines while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Participate in EH&S trainings and ensure compliance with site policies.
• Rotate to different workstations and complete assigned tasks within scope.
• Report progress to supervisor and highlight any failures to meet standards.
