Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a Facilities Assistant 2 to manage daily waste and recycling routes, coordinate hauling services, and oversee maintenance across ASU campuses. The role requires working in outdoor environments and operating forklifts and hand trucks as needed.

The candidate should have a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. The position is on-site at Tempe with occasional travel to other campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2 years experience in the area; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Experience in recycling/solid waste collection programs is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook) and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage completion of daily waste and recycling routes and special requests.
• Coordinate solid waste hauling services with ASU’s contracted partner.
• Oversee maintenance at all solid waste hauling locations on ASU campuses.
