Job summary

Akima seeks a Materials Expediter (Lead) for the U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site. The role coordinates movement and staging of Army equipment, ensuring timely workflow between receiving, inspection, warehousing, and transportation to comply with Army regulations and the contract.

Strong organization and communications are essential for success. The lead will monitor hazardous/material handling, ensure accurate turn-in documentation, and support property accountability across all turn-in stages,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–4 years of logistics, supply, or warehousing experience (Army contractor or SSA operations preferred).
• Experience in equipment turn-in or material coordination strongly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement, staging, and prioritization of Army equipment and materiel during turn-in.
• Expedite movement of vehicles, equipment, and repair parts from receiving to inspection, staging, and warehousing areas.
• Track movement status and update logs/spreadsheets/Army systems; report discrepancies.
