Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks an experienced logistics specialist to coordinate the receipt, staging, and movement of Army equipment. You will prioritize turn-ins for inspection and storage, track status from receipt to disposition, and support mass turn-ins through efficient workflow management.

You will review Army forms, enter data into GCSS-Army/DPAS/LMP, and maintain logs for daily and monthly activity.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant experience acceptable.
• Experience: 3–5 years in logistics, supply, or materiel management.
• Army documentation and regulations familiarity requested (e.g., AR 710-2, AR 735-5).
• Proficiency in Army systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with problem-solving ability.
• Ability to read and process Army supply documentation and operate MHE.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, staging, and movement of equipment from Army units.
• Prioritize items for inspection, accountability, and storage.
• Track turn-ins from initial receipt to final disposition.
• Support mass turn-in operations through workflow and resource management.
• Review and validate DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts, and condition codes.
• Enter data timely into GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
• Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
• Ensure audit readiness by keeping accurate material records.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff for storage, location, and retrieval.
• Tag, label, and segregate serviceable, unserviceable, and HAZMAT items.
• Monitor use of material handling equipment (MHE).
• Work with transportation staff to schedule shipments.
• Prepare cargo movement requests and load plans per Army/DTR standards.
• Ensure accountability during loading, movement, and offloading.
• Assist unit supply personnel to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Serve as liaison between contractor site staff, Army units, and COR.
• Provide responsive customer service while maintaining compliance.
