Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL) seeks a Material Expediter to coordinate movement, staging, and prioritization of Army equipment during turn-ins at the contractor-managed site. You will ensure timely workflow between receiving, inspection, warehousing, and transportation while complying with Army regulations and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; logistics coursework preferred.
• 2–4 years of logistics, supply, or warehousing experience.
• Experience in equipment turn-in or material coordination is strongly desirable.
• Knowledge of Army regulations and supply systems (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
• Familiarity with GCSS-Army, DPAS, and LMP; basic tagging standards.

Responsibilities

• Expedite movement of vehicles, equipment, and Class IX parts from receiving to staging and warehousing.
• Monitor and prioritize items requiring immediate attention or special handling.
• Ensure equipment staged for inspection, accountability, or outbound shipment.
• Verify turn-in documents match items being processed.
• Track movement status and update logs or Army systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Work with Supply Technicians, Warehouse Specialists, Transportation Coordinators, and QC staff.
• Communicate with Army unit personnel to resolve delays during mass turn-ins.
• Support outbound shipping by staging, packaging, and loading readiness.
• Assist in reconciling shortages/overages; participate in PARs.
• Ensure items are tagged, labeled, and condition-coded.
