Job summary

Jabil in Memphis, TN is seeking a Test Line Lead to coordinate daily testing operations, assign work based on production priorities, and provide hands-on support to the test team to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient testing.

The role emphasizes equipment readiness, process compliance, and driving continuous improvement while mentoring Test I-III staff and ensuring schedules meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, testing, HVAC, industrial equipment, electromechanical systems, diagnostics, or a related technical field required.
• Experience performing advanced testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and test procedures.
• Experience using automated test equipment, diagnostic tools, and manufacturing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to train, support, and mentor employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work within manufacturing and testing software systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10-12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow and staffing assignments to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities while providing hands-on support to the test team.
• Ensure testing activities meet quality, safety, workmanship, and customer standards.
• Monitor production flow, testing equipment readiness, and material availability to minimize downtime and support productivity.
• Verify only current and approved test procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation are used.
• Identify recurring failures and drive corrective actions.
• Train and support Tester I, Tester II, and Tester III employees on testing procedures, troubleshooting, and workmanship standards.
• Support on-job training, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track testing performance, production output, and schedule attainment.
• Maintain compliance with 5S, safety, quality, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
