Job summary

CommonPlace in Jacksonville is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor who will lead a maintenance team and perform hands-on upkeep. You will schedule, supervise, and review work, and coordinate with vendors to ensure high-quality results.

The role centers on keeping units move-in ready while maintaining safety and organization. You will also manage parts inventory, MSDS logs, and a tidy shop, with an on-call rotation and weekend responsiveness.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in residential property management.
• 1 to 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, PTAC units, appliances, and general construction.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise the maintenance team and review their work; step in when needed.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure quality of work delivered on site.
• Manage parts inventory, keep MSDS logs current, and organize the shop for easy tool access.
• Coordinate turns/make-readies so units are move-in ready; drive the on-call rotation.
• Handle lock changes after evictions and respond to breakdowns on weekends.
• Communicate clearly with the Property Manager and uphold safety policies.
