Job summary

Property Management Company in Jacksonville, TX is seeking a Lead Maintenance to supervise maintenance staff and ensure safety, site appearance, and upkeeping of apartments and amenities.

The role reports to the Property Manager and oversees maintenance staff, groundskeepers, and housekeepers, coordinating with managers on budgets, emergencies, and vendor relations to promote resident satisfaction and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience in the apartment industry or similar setting.
• HVAC Certification is desired.
• Valid driver license.
• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).

Responsibilities

• Act as a role-model to the maintenance staff and promote excellent customer service.
• Train, schedule, and manage maintenance staff to meet community goals.
• Assist in annual operating budgeting for maintenance categories.
• Perform maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry as needed.
• Conduct periodic inspections to ensure work quality and safety.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
• Schedule work and assign responsibilities to achieve maintenance and resident satisfaction standards.
• Manage apartment turnover processes and coordinate with vendors for turnover.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
