Job summary

CommonPlace in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a property maintenance team, keep the community safe and move-in ready, and provide excellent resident service. The role includes supervising trades, coordinating vendors, and managing preventative maintenance while staying on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of property management experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, PTAC, HVAC, and construction.
• Comfortable with a variety of tools from hand to power tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for helping others and providing exceptional service.
• Flexible schedule and on-call rotation.
• Valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the maintenance team, including training and scheduling.
• Oversee vendor work and ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory levels and submit supply orders.
• Ensure OSHA and safety policies are followed.
• Perform daily and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Complete unit turns and ensure move-in readiness.
• Assist in bidding processes and project planning.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; maintain MSDS sheets.
• Handle on-call emergencies and snow/ice removal when needed.
• Communicate unusual observations to the Property Manager.
