Job summary

Meijer Rewards is seeking a maintenance supervisor to lead a team of technicians and maintenance specialists, ensuring continuous facility operations and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage the department budget, and coordinate with operations to optimize KPIs while maintaining refrigeration and mechanical systems in the facility. This role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience required, 3–5 years preferred.
• Ability to operate powered lift equipment and maintain equipment operator license.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is beneficial.
• Proficiency with office technology tools (Outlook, MIDS, PLEX, mainframe).
• Knowledge of industrial motors and motor controls.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and meet production goals.
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules.
• Familiarity with safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site maintenance team to ensure continuous operations.
• Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Coach team members and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Monitor team performance and improve KPIs and operational metrics.
• Maintain refrigeration systems including Freon and/or ammonia.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.
• Forecast and assist with managing departmental budget.
