Job summary

Meijer is seeking a site maintenance supervisor to lead a team of technicians and maintenance specialists in a fast-paced facility. You will guide preventive and corrective actions, ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaborate to optimize KPIs and budgets.

The role requires leadership experience, blueprint reading skills, ammonia refrigeration knowledge is a plus, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years leadership experience required; 3–5 years preferred.
• Ability to operate powered lift equipment and maintain operator license.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is beneficial.
• Proficiency with office technology tools (Outlook, MIDS, PLEX, mainframes).
• Knowledge of industrial motors and motor controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize and meet production goals.
• Rotating work schedule flexibility.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist with hiring the site maintenance team to ensure continuous operations.
• Make work assignments and promote teamwork and accountability for results.
• Coach team members and administer discipline as required.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs to ensure continuous operations.
• Record coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Collaborate to improve plant KPIs and operational metrics.
• Maintain refrigeration systems, including Freon and ammonia.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Assist with budgeting and cost tracking for the department.
