Job summary

Meijer is seeking a maintenance supervisor to lead a team of technicians and maintenance specialists, ensuring reliable operations across facility systems and equipment.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, coach staff, manage budgets, read blueprints, and maintain refrigeration systems including ammonia, Freon, while upholding safety and regulatory compliance, and you’ll partner with operations to minimize downtime and improve KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of leadership experience required; 3-5 years leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to operate powered lift equipment and maintain Meijer equipment operator license.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and electrical schematics.
• Previous experience with ammonia refrigeration systems beneficial.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook and office systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and hire the site maintenance team to ensure continuous operations.
• Make work assignments, promote positive employee relations, teamwork and accountability for results.
• Coach team members and administer discipline as required.
• Monitor and oversee activities of the team, including preventive and corrective maintenance and repairs.
• Record and deliver coaching actions to team members as necessary.
• Maintain refrigeration systems (Freon and ammonia) and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.
• Forecast and assist with managing departmental budget and accounting.
