Job summary

Boart Longyear Ltd. in West Valley City, UT, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance of mining/manufacturing equipment. You will supervise technicians, implement preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and improve reliability while upholding safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

Work hours are Monday–Thursday, 6am–4:30pm. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams, manage inventory, and help control costs while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or mining.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
• Certifications in industrial maintenance, welding, electrical, or PLC are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Ensure schedules are followed and implement preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Oversee mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system repairs.
• Equipment Reliability: Analyze downtime data and implement improvements.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Inventory Management: Manage parts and tools, coordinate with purchasing for spare parts.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of activities and performance metrics.
• Collaboration with Other Departments: Align maintenance with production and engineering.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Support maintenance budget planning and cost control.
• All Other Reasonable Duties Assigned
