Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or mining.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • English language required.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience with CMMS and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance team and mentor technicians.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Monitor equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure safety and OSHA/environmental compliance.
  • Manage inventory of parts and coordinate with procurement.
  • Document work orders, downtime, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering on improvements.
  • Assist budgeting and cost control for maintenance.
  • All other reasonable duties assigned.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage the daily maintenance activities in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, a passion for safety, and the ability to lead a team to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of our mining and manufacturing equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team, ensuring that all maintenance work is completed on time, to specification, and in accordance with safety standards. You will work closely with other departments to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and personnel, providing guidance on daily tasks, maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repair processes.
  1. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Ensure that all preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and implement predictive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  1. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in manufacturing and mining equipment, ensuring quick response times to reduce production interruptions.
  1. Equipment Reliability: Monitor and improve equipment reliability by analyzing maintenance data, identifying recurring issues, and implementing effective solutions to enhance operational performance.
  1. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines. Promote a culture of safety and ensure the team is trained in proper procedures, risk assessments, and safety protocols.
  1. Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment necessary for routine and emergency repairs. Work with procurement to ensure availability of critical spare parts and materials.
  1. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, downtime, and equipment performance. Prepare reports and communicate maintenance performance metrics to management.
  1. Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to identify maintenance needs, resolve operational issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  2. Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in the preparation and management of the maintenance department budget. Ensure efficient use of resources, control maintenance costs, and minimize downtime-related expenses.
  3. All Other Reasonable Duties Assigned
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing/mining setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. An associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or mining environment, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Languages: English required
Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work in various environmental conditions (heat, noise, dust, etc.).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or mining environment, with at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Relevant certifications (industrial maintenance, welding, electrical, PLC) are a plus.
  • Lifting Requirements: Physical ability to carry out hands-on duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds
