Job summary

Morton Salt, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead hourly maintenance staff, uphold safety standards, and drive reliability across plant operations. You will coordinate daily activities, prioritize work with operations, and maintain maintenance records to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong technical expertise in hydraulics, welding, diesel repair, rigging, and electrical systems, plus proven leadership and the ability to manage multiple priorities across shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant maintenance and/or supervisory experience.
• Strong experience in hydraulics, welding, diesel repair, rigging, and low voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work various shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, outages, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on supervision and technical direction to hourly maintenance staff.
• Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance activities to support reliability and uptime.
• Review and manage work orders, backlog, and maintenance schedules in the CMMS.
• Ensure safety compliance and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and KPI data.
