Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production to manage budgets and safety.

Training and on-the-job development are emphasized. The position requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, 2+ years in supervision, strong knowledge of wiring, mechanical and electrical systems, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel is preferred.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, parts management, vendor management, maintenance management systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding activities to effect repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Perform and assign preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow manuals and specifications using a documented schedule.
• Manage and assign all equipment maintenance and supervise shifts in the department.
• Oversee regulatory and environmental compliance requirements and safety within the maintenance department.
• Train and develop maintenance partners.
