Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to drive process improvements. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, managing budgets, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across all shifts.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years in industrial repair, 2 years of supervision, and strong blueprint reading and office skills. On-site work with overtime as needed; UniFirst offers on-the-job training and career growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• 2 years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and parts management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hand & power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Performing basic welding activities to effect repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Perform and assign all preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications using a documented schedule.
• Manage and assign all equipment maintenance, including repairs which cannot be completed during standard hours.
• Oversee and implement all maintenance related regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
• Assume responsibility for all aspects of safety within the maintenance department.
