Job summary

MetLife's Global Technology team seeks a Lead Mainframe z/OS Db2 Site Reliability Engineer to bridge legacy reliability with future-ready solutions. You will architect, design, and direct modernization of mainframe databases to be reliable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

You will lead development and operations teams, automate resilience and BCP tests, and work with architects to set enterprise-wide technology strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in mainframe engineering and service delivery.
• Expertise in IBM z/OS Db2 and related mainframe technologies.
• Experience with mainframe modernization, integration, and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to mainframe development, operations, and modernization teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative mainframe solutions.
• Ensure high availability, security and performance of z/OS Db2 subsystems and DBs.
