Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a senior leader to architect, design, and direct the modernization of our mainframe systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with business goals. You will guide cross-functional teams and drive architectural governance across z/OS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of mainframe engineering experience with service delivery or architecture.
• Expertise in IBM z/OS, WLM, RACF and related mainframe technologies.
• Proven experience with mainframe modernization, integration, and migration.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of mainframe solutions aligned to business goals.
• Provide technical leadership to mainframe development, operations, and modernization teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver cost-effective mainframe solutions.
• Establish new mainframe intake and change processes and tune z/OS performance.
• Assist in BCP design exercises using Ansible, CSM, and data-center replication concepts.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to drive modernization of mainframe platforms.
