Job summary

AFL is seeking a Level III Low Voltage Technician to lead installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of structured cabling and telecom systems. You will serve as on-site lead, providing technical expertise, coordinating teams, and interfacing with customers to ensure safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing and maintaining telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Proficient with copper termination to quality standards and testing tools.
• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Able to use a computer/tablet/smartphone to communicate via email or Microsoft Teams and complete reports.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to minimize downtime and resolve field issues.
• Willingness to attend training and maintain required certifications.
• Valid Driver's License and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation, termination, labeling, and testing of copper cabling.
• Perform copper certification; download, analyze, archive, and deliver test results and as-built documentation.
• Plan and manage material usage, storage, and inventory to support timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite in accordance with EHS policies.
• Provide regular project status updates to the Project Manager and elevate risks or issues.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and internal crews to meet scope, schedule, and quality.
• Act as the primary on-site customer point of contact for installation activities and field coordination.
• Complete all required documentation and obtain customer project acceptance.
