Job summary

AFL is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician III to lead the installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of structured cabling and telecommunications systems. This role serves as a working lead, providing on-site leadership and direct customer interaction to ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include copper termination, testing, material planning, coordinating crews, creating daily reports, and ensuring on-time project close-out with quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years of installing and maintaining telecommunications and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Proficient at terminating copper to quality standards.
• Able to read scopes of work, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Comfortable using mobile devices to complete reports and access portals.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, termination, labeling, and testing of copper cabling.
• Perform copper certification; download, archive, and deliver test results and as-built documentation.
• Plan material usage and inventory to support timelines.
• Maintain safe jobsite per EHS policies.
• Provide project status updates to the Project Manager and flag risks.
